11-May-2020: Vijnana Bharati observing National Technology Day (LIVE)
- Observed every year on May 11, National Technology Day acts as a reminder of India’s technological advancements. Notably, on this day, India successfully tested Shakti-I nuclear missile at the Indian Army's Pokhran Test Range in Rajasthan. The operation was led by late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and was called Operation Shakti or Pokhran-II. Two days later, India successfully test fired two nuclear weapons as part of Operation Shakti. In a way, National Technology Day highlights the importance of science in daily life and encourages youngsters to embrace it as a career option.
Therefore, Vivekananda Vijnan Mission (www.vibhaindia.org), West Bengal Chapter of Vijnana Bharati observing "National Technology Day" on 11th May 2020 and conducting LIVE Webinar along with KCMconnect (an IT consultancy & service provider) as their technology provider with our esteemed speakers whose details are as follows:
Prof. Avishek Adhikari from Department of Mathematics, Presidency University will deliver speech on "Science and Technology in Cyber Security: A Brief Introduction" in the first session followed by Q&A (Question and Answer) session.
Thereafter, Prof. Samir K. Pal from Department of Chemical, Biological and Macromolecular Sciences, S. N. Bose Centre for Basic Sciences will talk on "Application-driven Basic Research for the Development of Indigenous Scientific Devices and Nanomedicines for Our Country"
